"Here is my super fine Payson Supercharger PJ bass with Nordstrand pickups. One of the first in production. The electronics on my bass are BigRig 5and NP5. The BigRig is wired with a three position switch for parallel, single coil and series. There is also a balance pot bypass switch. Otherwise all passive volume, balance, tone.  I could live without the little coil switch, since I only use the "fattest" position. Otherwise, it acts like a super fat Jazz/Precision Bass. More of everything, and very traditional at the same time."
